Version 10.0 of SME Server supports a wide variety of hardware, you can look for compatibility before deployment.

We expect that all hardware which is marked as "Certified" or "Compatible" for RedHat Enterprise Linux Update 6 on the RedHat Hardware Compatibility web site, located at: Certified Hardware - Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog, will function correctly with SME Server 10.0. We do not recommend the use of server hardware which is not listed as "Certified" or "Compatible".

- Home use
       1 core min 1.6GHz
2GB of RAM (ClamAv disabled, 4gb if enabled)
20GB + required space to store data

- Small Office (up to 10 users, emails, file sharing)
      2 cores min 2GHz
      4GB of RAM
30GB + required space to store data

- Medium Office (up to 100 users, email with spam and virus filtering, file sharing, VPN)
      redundant power supply + UPS
      4 core 2.5GHz
      8GB of RAM
      hardware RAID controler with BBU
      2x70GB RAID1 SAS 15k or SSD

See for full details: SME Server:Documentation:Administration Manual:Chapter4 - SME Server (koozali.org)

You can find compatible hardware here for Red hat Enterprise 7
